Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Helm ("Helm", "we", "us") provides a platform that event businesses use to manage their operations. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language on purpose.

1. Who this applies to

Helm serves two kinds of people: the businesses that create a workspace on Helm (and their team members who sign in), and the clients and contacts whose details a business stores inside its own workspace. If you're a client of a business that uses Helm, that business controls your information — please contact them directly for requests about it.

2. Information we collect

We do not ask for, and you should never store, more sensitive personal data than you actually need to run your events.

3. How we use information

We do not sell your information, and we do not use your business content to advertise to you.

4. Keeping each business separate

This is central to how Helm works. Every business on Helm has its own private workspace. Your events, clients, pricing and team are separated from every other business on the platform, and access rules make sure information from one workspace is never visible inside another. Within your own workspace, you decide what each team member can see and do.

5. When we share information

We only share information in limited, necessary ways:

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your workspace is active, and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting or dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete your workspace and its content, subject to any records we're legally required to retain.

7. How we protect it

We use encrypted connections, strict access controls, and per-workspace separation to protect your information. While no online service can promise perfect security, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to safeguard it and to limit who can access it.

8. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. You can update most details from inside your workspace, or contact us for help. If you're a client of a business using Helm, please reach out to that business for these requests.

9. Children

Helm is a tool for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
